Another slip up
Well, I started out having a good week and then my husband and I had a couple “dates” over the weekend where we went to the movies and out to eat. So that got me of track. Then the couple days that followed I didn’t do well. Then I weighed in yesterday and gained a pound. I then felt depressed and hopeless and then ended up eating a bag of chips and dip to make myself feel “better”, which as you probably know only makes you feel guilty and perpetuates the vicious cycle. Grr….I hate the battle.

Ohhh Girl, I know what you mean. but you have to let go of the guilt. Next time you have a few off days, don’t weigh yourself so you don’t get that depressed feeling. Give yourself a few days to get it back together before you weigh yourself.
Hang in there. The battle is well worth the fight! I just took a peak at your profile pic and I just have to tell you that your baby is gorgeous! She should be in pictures! She’s the perfect baby model!
You started out having a good week-finish it with a good week! It’s okay to slip up a little, think of the times you didn’t slip up!! You can do it-don’t give up!
My husband and I don’t go out to eat for our “dates” anymore. It was too stressful for me! I was irritated when I ate all the healthy stuff and he got to eat the good stuff, then I was irritated when I ate the good stuff and felt guilty!! Now we skip the meal part and just go to the movies! (and I always eat at home first so I don’t get that popcorn!!)
Hey, look at the bright side, you had a date! Life shouldn’t stop just because your dieting. Enjoy your night out and the pick right up again tomorrow. Trust me, you’ll remember that date much longer than that half a pound you gain from enjoying it

I know it sometimes seems like an endless battle! You had a great night out with hubby..yes it led to a few extra day of bad eating…that happens to me a lot…just try to put it behind you and keep plugging along what is done is done.
I so know what you mean! It sucks! But, it’s time to brush yourself off and get back on that wagon.
You CAN do it!

I think we’ve all been there. One thing to let go of though is the diet mentality, that it has to be perfect all the time. This is what makes you grab those chips, “I’ve failed anyway, why not really go for it”.
Let bad days or bad meals go!
And if the scale is such an enemy, only weigh in once a month or every 2 weeks. Focus on what you are doing right. Eating well, not eating after a certain time, adding more fruit. What amazing changes have you made in the past few months?
Do you drink skim milk now?
Do you have dark chocolate?
Do you eat more fruit/veg?
Are you walking more?
What are you doing! This is a long slow journey, changing our habits slowly and often one at a time. Have patience and DON’T GIVE UP! You’ll get there.
You wouldn’t expect that beautiful baby in your photo to start walking overnight right? Sometimes we need to stumble and fall to learn. But we get up and keep trying! You’ll make it!
